Mag­no­lia is look­ing for a top pro­fes­sion­al senior devel­op­er to join full time to a stel­lar team.

You are a Java devel­op­er with exten­sive expe­ri­ence in build­ing scal­able serv­er appli­ca­tions using var­i­ous Java tech­nolo­gies. You have a deep under­stand­ing of key per­for­mance design pat­terns, with spe­cif­ic empha­sis to Java, and are eager to apply your knowl­edge to our unique domain. Your abil­i­ty to resolve com­plex prob­lems has been rec­og­nized through­out your career.

In this posi­tion, you will:

  • Con­tribute to the devel­op­ment of Mag­no­lia CMS
  • Sup­port the team in con­cept def­i­n­i­tion, design spec­i­fi­ca­tion, doc­u­men­ta­tion, etc.
  • Help poten­tial clients dur­ing Mag­no­lia projects: Advise cus­tomers hands-on how to suc­cess­ful­ly imple­ment their solu­tion. Hold devel­op­er work­shops for clients. Imple­ment pro­to­typ­ing solu­tions. Trav­el to the client’s loca­tion to pro­vide the above ser­vices on-site.
  • Qual­i­fi­ca­tions

    You should get a charge out of build­ing high val­ue & com­pelling user func­tion­al­i­ty quick­ly in the enter­prise soft­ware space.

  • Uni­ver­si­ty degree in Com­put­er Sci­ence, Com­put­er Engi­neer­ing, or relat­ed fields
  • 2 or more years of pro­fes­sion­al Java devel­op­ment expe­ri­ence (more is bet­ter)
  • 2 or more years of object-ori­ent­ed pro­gram­ming expe­ri­ence (more is bet­ter)
  • Expe­ri­ence in a vari­ety of the fol­low­ing areas: Object-ori­ent­ed design. Enter­prise Java tech­nolo­gies (JEE, servlets, etc.). Java Con­tent Repos­i­to­ry (JCR), SQL, RDBMS. Web tech­nolo­gies (e.g. HTTP, CSS, JavaScript). XML and relat­ed tech­nolo­gies (e.g., XSL, XPath, etc.). Web Services/SOA tech­nolo­gies.
  • Excel­lent com­mu­ni­ca­tion skills in Eng­lish, both ver­bal and writ­ten
  • A strong com­mit­ment to time­lines and deliv­er­ables
  • The dri­ve, enthu­si­asm and desire required in a high­ly dynam­ic work envi­ron­ment that must com­pete in a glob­al tech­nol­o­gy mar­ket
